The location of the Ochang Spa Valley(Hanjeungmak) is here~

it’s very convenient to get here from the airport, you can ride bus 750 for about 20 minutes.

After getting off the bus, you can see the building next to it, where the Spa Valley is located. The Spa is on the 7th floor.

After arriving at the 7th floor, there’s the front desk in front of the elevator. The ticket is 7000 won (sauna + steam room, no time limit). The area inside probably looks like the following (I drew this layout from my imagination, there might be some minor difference from the actual one). The Spa Valley is divided into three areas. Boys and girls have their own dressing rooms and Sauna areas (should be naked here). The other shared area contains sauna chamber, hot and cold rooms, restaurants, stores, and children’s playrooms, etc. (guests need to put on the clothes provided by counter, then go to this shared area.)

My monkey boy and I have to change clothes. We put our clothes in the locker, and we’re now ready to go-inside !

We all went to the shared area together first. Because it is the break of day, we planned to rest first. There are many “capsules” in the shared area, people can sleep inside the “capsules”, so we chose some capsules nearby and went to sleep~~

The children’s playroom is at the corner of this shared area. We arrived at about 7 o’clock in the morning, the children’s playroom will not open until 10 o’clock. I tried very hard to ask my little monkeys to sleep for a while, we promised to let them play after the playroom opens.

Everyone fell asleep, finally ! But my little girl was awakened because other people were on their phones talking non-stop!, she can’t fall asleep again after waking up. She asked me to go and ask about the opening time (still one-hour after, from the description). Fortunately, I saw the staff go to the playroom and turned on the lights. I asked the staff in English whether we could go in and play, but the staff cannot understand any English at all ! I couldn’t communicate with him. Finally, I pointed to the opening time on the sign of the playroom. He finally understood what I want to ask him about, and “said it’s OK. My little girl rushed in to play the bounce bed and other facilities! !

There are two seperate rooms in the playroom, but a sky walkway connected the two (very interesting !) My monkey girl has been playing for a while, and eventually started to feel bored. She wants to wake up her younger brother, and to play with her~

This swivel chair is also full of fun, you can turn super fast, two monkeys played for a long time!

There is a monitor outside the playroom, so that adults can chat in the lobby and see what the kids are doing, so sweet.

Since the monkeys are happily playing inside the playroom now, I am going to try all rooms like the hot room, cold room, or rooms in 90 degrees celsius~

I stayed in one of the rooms that’s probably around 50 degrees. The time spent inside might be about 40 minutes in total. After sweating and drying, I sweat again. t felt wonderful! It was an amazing experience!

We spent three and a half hours here (including sleeping). Before leaving, I asked my boy monkey to have sauna with me. There are about four or five pools in different temperatures. I enjoyed it but my boy monkey didn’t

After taking a shower, changing clothes, we left! It’s almost noon, we’re ready to go eat at a nearby restaurant & go shopping (There’s lots of stores, and also one shopping mall named “homeplus” nearby)!

[Suggestions]

The Spa Valley is open 24 hours a day (except for the children’s playroom), so if you go here alone and want to save  cash, you can spend the night here with a small amount of money (you can also take a shower or sauna!) But if you’re planning to spend the night here, you won’t be able to have a good sleep because you can hear the sounds of people walking around the hall, talking on the phone or chatting, which may keep you wide awake.

The facilities of the Spa Valley are  very good. There are many rooms, many different pools for the sauna, hot, or cold rooms, etc. There are only a few people here on weekdays. There is also a store for you to buy something to eat. (I heard that people often buy an egg here to eat?). Since the korean spa is a special experience in Korea, I recommend everyone to go there and experience it! !
